Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) - American Physical Therapy Association

Dr. Nilesh Soni

DPT, GCS  ·  Founder & Clinical Director

With over three decades of clinical experience, Dr. Soni founded Dynamic Physical Therapy in 2003 to fill a real gap: advanced, one-on-one physical therapy that treats the whole person - not just the injury. His practice was built around the belief that every patient deserves the same level of care he would want for his own family.

Dr. Soni holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions and a Master's from New York University. As one of a select group of Board-Certified Geriatric Specialists in Queens, he has developed landmark programs including a Comprehensive Osteoporosis Management Protocol and advanced myofascial release protocols now used across all six DPTS clinics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to visit the South Richmond Hill clinic?

In New York, you can see a licensed physical therapist directly without a physician referral for the first 10 visits. If you have Medicare, workers' compensation, or a no-fault claim, a prescription from your doctor is typically required. Our team will walk you through the exact requirements for your situation when you call to schedule.

Will you verify my insurance before my first visit?

Yes - always. We verify all insurance benefits before your first appointment so there are no billing surprises. We accept most major commercial plans, Medicare, Medicaid, No-Fault, and Workers' Compensation. Just call us with your insurance card and we'll take care of the rest.

Is free transportation really available?

Yes. We provide complimentary door-to-door transportation throughout the borough of Queens at no cost to the patient. Simply let us know when scheduling and we'll arrange pickup for your appointments.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, any physician referral or prescription if applicable, and a list of current medications. Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. You can also download and complete new patient forms in advance from our Patient Resources page to save time at check-in.

How long is a typical session at this location?

Initial evaluations typically run 45 - 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions are usually 45 minutes. Because every session is one-on-one with your licensed physical therapist - not divided between multiple patients - every minute is focused entirely on your recovery.
